Time to go back...

So, it's almost time for me to go back to school. Am I ready? That would be a giant NO! I'm honestly not at all excited to go back to school. I don't want to go live in an itty bitty room and eat the food at the dining center. I don't want to work with people who don't care and would rather party. I don't want to deal with the drama of a certain guy not knowing how far is too far and Josh wanting to pummel him for that. It's just not that appealing to me. All of this put together makes me want to go to Drake even more next year!

On that note: What if Accounting isn't right for me. Then I change my major to Pharmacy and what happens if I end up hating Pharmacy? Then I would have changed schools, changed majors, and I'm in no better place than before and paying more for it! How do you know you're going to like to field you go in to? Is it supposed to feel like a guessing game and all the way through it you're telling yourself "I hope it turns out ok?" I don't know.

Another question: What is up with spontaneous, out-of-the-blue weddings? First Caleb Roney and his now-wife and now Courtney Keeney and Luke Harden? I didnt hear the full story behind Caleb's but they were at least dating. Courtney and Luke however have only ever been friends and they get engaged a week ago. THEN last night they each call one of their friends saying that they're having an engagement party and BOOM it's a wedding! Dress, tuxedo, PROGRAM, one maid of honor, a best man, and immediate family in her grandmother's house. All I know is that it wouldn't be my choice. I would need a year to plan, I couldn't in a week!

Christmas

Christmas this year was great! Christmas Eve I went to Josh's and had a great night! We ate good food, opened presents, and played games. It was so great!

Then Christmas Day I opened presents with my family. I already knew what they were considering I picked them out. I didn't really want anything so I got a phone charger because mine broke and some shampoo and conditioner (Special Tree Tea) which I normally don't buy due to the expensive cost but since it was Christmas, I asked for it!

Both Friday and Saturday night I went to my Grandparents. Josh came with me on Friday night. We just kind of relaxed and talked. Saturday night was present night. It was a great night and lots of laughs! I think my favorite memory of both nights was when my Grandma completely burned my cousin Justin. They were talking about basketball and Justin was saying how they had only won a couple game and my grandma says "All those practices aren't helping?" and someone else chimes in and asks if he's on JV or Varsity and he says "Well we don't have a JV team" and my grandma says "Oh well that explains it!"

Tonight I'm going over to Josh's and we're going to play games and ring in 2008! Yay! 2007 was a good year but I think 2008 will be even better!

Also, I forgot, we didn't pay our phone bill on time so they suspended our account so if you want to get a hold of me call me. I can't respond to texts and I can't call you to tell you I can't text!

Home is where my heart is...

  • I want to go home.

  • I'm leaving tomorrow to go home and haven't even started to pack! yikes! I need to figure out what I need to take home and what I'll need for next semester!

  • I'll also be bringing home my babies...Chubby, Half-Pint, and Doodle! I hope they don't die! I'm taking the tank too! That's my final decision. I don't think they would live the whole break if I didn't bring their home with them. They aren't as flexible. They go through stress and shock way too easily!

  • Also, one item on my wish list is a new phone charger. I have a car charger but my regular phone charger no longer works...I figured this out last night as my phone was dying! I sat in my car today waiting for it to charge. During this time I began picking the ice off of my car. People probably thought I was crazy!

Ice and Snow...Take it slow!

So, I put up a new bulletin board just this week. Perfect timing! The bulletin board is a Safe Winter Driving Tips kind of thing. The title of the board: Ice and Snow...Take It Slow!

I was on call this weekend. So, I haven't stepped foot outside since Friday. We'll see how tomorrow goes! I don't want to go to class! I'm ready to be completely over with this semester! It's just so darn frustrating! grrrr... I'm sick of art. I never would have thought those words could possibly come out of my mouth. BUT I AM...

Wish me luck for finals....I have 3 on Monday and then my Accounting Final on Tuesday (ewww...it's like nail on a chalkboard! yikes!) Then on Wednesday at 8 am after being on call Tuesday night, I have my art final which consists of actually getting our projects back! yay! forget the grades, I want to projects! haha!

I'm not tired! I slept until 1:30 pm today and now I don't want to go to sleep! I suppose I should!

Have a great night/week!

Be safe and make wise choices! ;)

4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4.

It's a little late....4 years! Love you honey!

Turkey Break!

Turkey break was much needed!

Friday to Tuesday I was on call. It got really monotonous but that's ok because I don't have to come back in the middle of Christmas break! yippee!

When I got home, I spent time with Josh on Tuesday and Wednesday. And by that I mean I slept in as long as possible and went over to his house in the evening!
I also visited Koalaty! I saw my babies from the summer...I missed them. I got my job back as well but now I am questioning whether or not I'm actually going to go back. I've talked to parents and well a lot of my kids and fellow teachers that I've been with ever since I started are leaving due to the center going on a downward slope. However there is a new Childcare center that's open. I'm going to mail them and see if I can have a seasonal position. It's with the old director and some veteran teachers... We shall see!
Thursday (Turkey day) I went to my Grandma's and had lunch there! Delicious!!! Then I went to Josh's family dinner in the evening! I had such a blast! I learned a lot too! Bismark is a US city...don't criticize me! The last time I had geography was 6th grade OKAY!!!!?????? Seriously, Clue and Scattergories were amazingly fun! AND Jaron didn't hide from me this year! haha

Friday at 3:15 am my alarm went off! I got ready and Josh picked me up at 3:50 am. We then traveled to his sister Jen's house and picked her up around 4:05 am. Then, we drove to pick up her friend Christi. From there, we went to Jordan Creek to shop for some incredible deals. After a stop at Starbucks we trecked to Younkers. There I found a Columbia coat with nearly $100 knocked off the price and I got a free blanket with it too. My one regret for the entire break is that I did not get the luggage they had on sale. I should've, could've, and would've if I hadn't talked myself out of it! At the end of shopping I had a coat, blanket, 3 movies, 4 lotions and 4 mini perfumes. I went shopping Saturday and go a suit and botton down shirt.
After our shopping expedition, I slept until 2 pm. Then, I went and visited with the Coffelt family! I missed them and their kids! If I was back on December 14, I could babysit for them...but no! *tear* Then I hung out with Josh and watched Live Free or Die Hard (which he got for only $15 two days after it's release on DVD).
Saturday I went to watch Rachel scrimmage for bball. She was able to scrimmage with the Varsity even though she isn't planning to suit up for Varsity. That was pretty cool! Then I spent the night with family and played some pool in the basement and watched Men in Black on tv.
On a side note: UNI won in the first round of playoffs Saturday night. No, I was not there and couldn't watch because we don't have Mediacom. But I had the GameTracker up on the computer. I also will not be able to go to the next game because I am on-call......and that is also the reason why I can't go to the Glee Club Concert....sore subject....terrible weekend!

Today I went to church, out to eat, and back to UNI. *sigh*

Break was too short!

Coach of the Year

So, you may not be a UNI student, but UNI just won the first game in the playoffs and the #2 and #3 teams fell! So, as you can see...our coach, Mark Farley, is a pretty amazing coach! So, go to coachoftheyear.com and give him a vote each day to keep the Appalachian coach away! Support the great state of Iowa and the UNI Panthers!

THANK YOU!!!
