So, I put up a new bulletin board just this week. Perfect timing! The bulletin board is a Safe Winter Driving Tips kind of thing. The title of the board: Ice and Snow...Take It Slow!
I was on call this weekend. So, I haven't stepped foot outside since Friday. We'll see how tomorrow goes! I don't want to go to class! I'm ready to be completely over with this semester! It's just so darn frustrating! grrrr... I'm sick of art. I never would have thought those words could possibly come out of my mouth. BUT I AM...
Wish me luck for finals....I have 3 on Monday and then my Accounting Final on Tuesday (ewww...it's like nail on a chalkboard! yikes!) Then on Wednesday at 8 am after being on call Tuesday night, I have my art final which consists of actually getting our projects back! yay! forget the grades, I want to projects! haha!
I'm not tired! I slept until 1:30 pm today and now I don't want to go to sleep! I suppose I should!
Have a great night/week!
Be safe and make wise choices! ;)

Turkey Break!
Turkey break was much needed!
Friday to Tuesday I was on call. It got really monotonous but that's ok because I don't have to come back in the middle of Christmas break! yippee!
When I got home, I spent time with Josh on Tuesday and Wednesday. And by that I mean I slept in as long as possible and went over to his house in the evening!
I also visited Koalaty! I saw my babies from the summer...I missed them. I got my job back as well but now I am questioning whether or not I'm actually going to go back. I've talked to parents and well a lot of my kids and fellow teachers that I've been with ever since I started are leaving due to the center going on a downward slope. However there is a new Childcare center that's open. I'm going to mail them and see if I can have a seasonal position. It's with the old director and some veteran teachers... We shall see!
Thursday (Turkey day) I went to my Grandma's and had lunch there! Delicious!!! Then I went to Josh's family dinner in the evening! I had such a blast! I learned a lot too! Bismark is a US city...don't criticize me! The last time I had geography was 6th grade OKAY!!!!?????? Seriously, Clue and Scattergories were amazingly fun! AND Jaron didn't hide from me this year! haha
Friday at 3:15 am my alarm went off! I got ready and Josh picked me up at 3:50 am. We then traveled to his sister Jen's house and picked her up around 4:05 am. Then, we drove to pick up her friend Christi. From there, we went to Jordan Creek to shop for some incredible deals. After a stop at Starbucks we trecked to Younkers. There I found a Columbia coat with nearly $100 knocked off the price and I got a free blanket with it too. My one regret for the entire break is that I did not get the luggage they had on sale. I should've, could've, and would've if I hadn't talked myself out of it! At the end of shopping I had a coat, blanket, 3 movies, 4 lotions and 4 mini perfumes. I went shopping Saturday and go a suit and botton down shirt.
After our shopping expedition, I slept until 2 pm. Then, I went and visited with the Coffelt family! I missed them and their kids! If I was back on December 14, I could babysit for them...but no! *tear* Then I hung out with Josh and watched Live Free or Die Hard (which he got for only $15 two days after it's release on DVD).
Saturday I went to watch Rachel scrimmage for bball. She was able to scrimmage with the Varsity even though she isn't planning to suit up for Varsity. That was pretty cool! Then I spent the night with family and played some pool in the basement and watched Men in Black on tv.
On a side note: UNI won in the first round of playoffs Saturday night. No, I was not there and couldn't watch because we don't have Mediacom. But I had the GameTracker up on the computer. I also will not be able to go to the next game because I am on-call......and that is also the reason why I can't go to the Glee Club Concert....sore subject....terrible weekend!
Today I went to church, out to eat, and back to UNI. *sigh*
Break was too short!

Coach of the Year
So, you may not be a UNI student, but UNI just won the first game in the playoffs and the #2 and #3 teams fell! So, as you can see...our coach, Mark Farley, is a pretty amazing coach! So, go to coachoftheyear.com and give him a vote each day to keep the Appalachian coach away! Support the great state of Iowa and the UNI Panthers!
THANK YOU!!!

i'm FALLing
*sigh*
Today is a gorgeous day. I might even dare to say and perfect fall day. This weekend I thought all the pretty leaves were gone, but no. I saw orange and red leaves all over today. Yay! I don't like the brown old dead fallen leaves much.
Chubby, Half-Pint, and Doodle are still alive! I have not killed them. However they are messy! The dirty up the tank so much. But it's a five gallon tank. I can't just change the water like it's no big deal. Oh well! They're my babies, even though I miss my babies from home.
I'm going through baby withdrawl. I would have thought that I could have gotten through it in a shorter amount of time. But I miss them so much. I think thats why I keep going back to Koalaty Time. I go off to school, miss them like crazy, and then forget about all of the negative parts of my work and just think about the positives. Then I go back and I'm back in gossip, drama, crap-land. I miss it so much.
Retreat this weekend. hmmmm...not sure if I'm excited or not.
Next weekend...4 years.....I am sure that I'm excited for that.

September
It has been a while. September is half over. The second half of August flew by. I don't even remember what happened.
My job is a 24/7 job. Last night I had the pleasure to wake up at 3 AM to a group of very loud and intoxicated people. But, by the time I woke up, they were gone. Grrrr. However, no one has ripped down any of my bulletin boards. That is wonderful.
Some people are stupid. Do you honestly thinking you're showing me when you rip down the Alcohol Policy sign? First of all, you're stupid. The Alcohol Policy sign was dead center in the middle of about 20 other signs. Obviously you wanted to get drunk! Second, if the sign comes down, does that mean the alcohol policy doesn't apply? NO! I was the one who told you when you checked in that you were responsible for knowing the policies on page 9 of the Panther Planner. Third, so you made me make another copy of the sign! BIG DEAL! Don't be retarded and thinking you're "showing me" by pulling down ONE sign!
I'm planning a money management program for the 27th. We're going to get to learn how to manage money while painting piggy banks! I'm uber excited!
I have been seriously attempting to be organized. I made a calendar for events in the lounge windows. Hopefully I'll be able to keep that up to date which will then help me be organized!
I need to change my bulletin boards. I'm thinking one will be about how different cultures celebrate birthdays. I'm not sure what the other one will be. I'm choosing the birthday one to be my "serious" board. So, I need a fun idea!
Time to go back to work!

UNI
So, I've been moved in since August 3rd. It's been pretty amazing! I love my new job and the new people I get to work with. Our staff is pretty darn sweet!
I have been so incredibly busy with training. I just got my room organized two days ago and today is the last day of training! Tomorrow begins opening weekend. I know...Wednesday isn't a weekend! However, Springboard moves in tomorrow! Which means tomorrow is when I start my official job as a RA. Currently I have 14 residents moved in to the permanent residence! In the end I will have 52 residents. I'm pretty excited about this upcoming year.
