Reaction
So, this weekend was a pretty crappy weekend. I had gone tanning on Friday (after work) in order to get ready for Ashley's wedding (black dress...enough said). Austin and I were home alone so we ordered pizza in and had a pretty lazy evening. I was excited to sleep in on Saturday. So, when Saturday came around, I woke up. However, I woke up itching. When I woke up it was only from my elbows to my shoulders. As the day went on it spread over the rest of my arms. I was tired of it so I went to take a shower and hoped that it would alleviate the itching. It only got worse after I got out of the shower. I was itching all over and couldn't stop. I ended up having to take 3 benadryl tow different times in order to stop the itching!!! My mom and I figured that the tanning lotion I used (although I had used it before) caused the allergic reaction. Otherwise, nothing else fits. It couldn't have been anything I had ate because I didn't eat anything unusual. I was wearing my jean skirt (that I've worn a million times) and a t-shirt...so yeah! Now, I have had no kind of a weekend and have slept 25 hours since Friday evening!

aaahhhhh!!!
This is me screaming.....
aaaahhhhhh!!!!!
Why am I screaming?
Because I'm sick...
Can't taste (or smell) anything...
And I don't have a job for the summer anymore...
aaaahhhhhh!!!!!
Here's the story about the job:
There is a family who has a nanny right now. That nanny has a husband and a child. That husband is a police officer and usually takes care of his child. But now, that husband is going to be working at night and won't be able to take care of that child during the day. So that child has to go with mom (the current nanny) to this family's house everyday. Bad thing is that child apparently cries for the majority of the day. Which then upsets this family's children. So, the kids I was going to take care of are now going to go into daycare because they can't take the crying...So, instead of paying for me (during the summer) and for holding a spot in daycare (because they'd go back to daycare after I left), they are just going to keep them in daycare...and I'm out of a job!
aaaahhhhhh!!!!!
AND I turned down the other family...which would have been fantastic as well!
So, I have added my resume to career builder and have been madly applying for any administrative/nanny job posted there that seems legitimate. We shall see!
Goodnight!

***yet another update***
Ok so, no SAA... that is a low point...
BUT
I just found out like 10 minutes ago that I got an Accounting Department Scholarship! WOO HOO! It's for $1,000 and sponsored by Clifton Gunderson! It's my first scholarship ever and I'm super-dee-duper excited!
April 23 at 5:00pm I will be going to the Accounting Department Scholarship Reception to receive my scholarship! Wahoo!
That just made my day...although it would've been quite easy to make my day today haha

***UPDATE***
I have a job for the summer! I'm nannying 2 kids for a family I met while at the daycare.
I also have an interview for Student Admissions Ambassadors. Out of 100 applicants a little less than half were selected for interviews and then a little less than half of those interviewers will be selected as SAA members! So, I have one hurdle out of the way. My interview is on Sunday at 3:50pm so please say your prayers that I can do well and land a spot in SAA! I've wanted to be in SAA since the beginning of my Sophomore year. I just always was nervous that I wouldn't have time to be committed to it because the first year I was an RA and didn't know if I'd be able to balance both. Then for this year I had Intermediate Accounting and didn't know if I should add SAA on top of that! But now, I realized that if I want to try to become an SAA member, I need to apply now! Otherwise, there really isn't much time for me to actually participate. So, I applied! Even though I may be taking 17 credit hours next semester...
Anyways, in summary, yesterday was a horribly stressful day and today has turned out amazing!
Also, I have now woken up at 7:15-ish for the past 2 days. You should be so proud of me! haha. that never happens!

I caved...I'm going to try to nanny. I guess I'm just really impatient and have realized that even one nanny job may not work out because it isn't for the earlier part of the summer...it's for the later part, which I'm not entirely available for (RA training)! So, I caved and emailed the family I knew and that has a child not in school...*sigh* I also have discovered that I'm happy that I'm going into a field that has pretty good job security! haha!

Jobs
The running total is:
Allied
Nanny with a family I know (unless they find someone else)
Nanny with a family I don't know (but pays amazingly and only for 1 girl who is 9 years old!)
R&R Realty
maybe one more but no pressure.

It's been a while
It's be quite a while since I've written.
Life is hectic, crazy, stressful, etc.
I currently and getting back into the swing of things after a very nice and relaxing Spring Break. I had a great time. Josh and I were able to see each other everyday minus Wednesday.
I slept in everyday as well. It was very nice. Somehow I did not catch up on sleep. Usually after I sleep a lot, there will be one night where I won't be able to fall asleep because I'm not tired or it'll work that I'll go to bed and then wake up on my own relatively early. This did not happen. Not even once! haha! I was really hoping I would get to that point. But I did not.
I also went to a baby shower for one of my good friends, Leeanne. She currently lives in Wichita so it was wonderful to see her! I greatly enjoyed it although there were only 3 of us that were Leeanne's age (including Leeanne). So yes...
Internship search is going...that's all I can really say about that. I have my resume out to 3 people/companies and am hoping that one of them works out. Today was a very dilemma filled day. I received an email from a mom whose child I cared for while I worked at Koalaty Time. She asked if I wanted to nanny for them this summer. They have a kindergartner and a 2 1/2 year old. I immediately wanted to say yes! BUT what happens if I get an internship?? Grrr. So I had to decide if one of these internships was actually going to turn into something. I've pretty much decided that no, R&R Realty isn't going to happen. I submitted my resume but their GPA requirement is a 3.5 (in my opinion a 3.5 is ridiculously high as a requirement!). Allied would be nice because it would be a paying job with the title of internship attached. My last option is an "I hope so/That would be fantastic" but no pressure ;) . So, what do I do? In the end I emailed her back and laid it out for her and said "I understand if you want to find someone else that doesn't have string attached and I will keep you posted on how my search goes." She emailed back and basically said they were going to look for someone else but did want me to let her know how it went just in case.
Right now I'm just completely paranoid that I'm going to end up job-less this summer. With the way internships are lining up (or you could say the way they aren't...) mixed with this oh-so-lovely economy....I'm scared! And believe me, I am determined not to work in retail!!! But what happens if those are the only jobs available for summer-only people like me!? :-(
G'night
